For us, Jess and Michael’s wedding encapsulates everything Eleven Eighty stands for. It was intimate. It was heartfelt. It was about connection – being truly present in the moment. From start to finish, it felt like every single person invited played a special role in their day.
We’ve spent such a joyful afternoon reliving their wedding through Translucent Photography’s lens. What comes through, above all else is connection. You can feel the love – not just between Jess and Michael, but flowing through their entire day.

The vibe? A relaxed, joy-filled party with their nearest and dearest. They leaned into the vintage charm of Eleven Eighty, styling the day with our velvet lounges and quirky vintage props. But, in true Eleven Eighty spirit, they did things their way. Think salsa dancing lessons for guests, a champagne tower, and shots for everyone straight after the “I do’s”.
Jess and Michael also reimagined tradition. No formal bridal party – instead, they wove their closest family and friends into moments throughout the day. They flipped the timeline too, doing photos before the ceremony. That meant time for a sneaky drink together in the old school house and the sweetest moment of watching their guests arrive from the window – just the two of them, soaking it all in.
Jess and Michael opted for a more traditional indoor ceremony utilising the Old School Hall for their nuptials and using the brick pathways of the courtyard as a natural wedding isle, with the addition of our vintage runner.

They went with an elite group of local South Coast vendors to ensure their day ran smoothly. The Henry Clive team kept the champagne flowing, The Wedding and Event Creators provided coordination throughout the day to keep the timing on track. Catering was looked after by Hungry Monkey and esdsert was a choice between Espresso Boy Doughnuts and Gelato from the Messina gelato cart.

And the fun didn’t stop there. A photo booth and a telephone book from the Photo Booth Team kept guests entertained all night long.

From the beginning, Jess and Michael were drawn to the idea of having everything in one place – getting ready, the ceremony, the photos, the reception, even hosting their families for dinner the night before.
In their own words:
“We loved the attention to detail – every space was so thought out and it really felt like us.”
“We wanted a venue that wasn’t super traditional but still had beautiful spaces. When we visited Eleven Eighty, we were blown away.”
For us, that’s what it’s all about – creating a wedding that feels unapologetically you, with memories that linger long after the last glass is clinked.
