On March 5th 2023, we hosted our first Wedding Open Day at Eleven Eighty – The Venue with a Twist.
For those (like me) who struggle visualize what wedding venues could look like dressed for your perfect day, then this was the opportunity to see Eleven Eighty in full flight and to get a true sense of what the property could look like for your wedding when it was styled to perfection by the wonderful Vanessa from The Wedding and Event Creators.
The day was an incredible success:
The tour started at The Barn where our guests were met by some of the fabulous team from The Henry Clive Bar. A stroll through our beautiful courtyard was next to soak up the atmosphere provided by Tillee Music. Canape taste sensations created by the friendliest culinary team on the South Coast: The Monkey Express. were then enjoyed. Guests then explored the gardens, making sure to take in our unique murals, garden art and Willow Trees (aka the most beautiful ceremony backdrop). Time was taken to admire our historical buildings, Circa 1860’s; The School Masters House and the Old School Hall and take a wander over to our train carriage to mull over whether to use it as your bridal preparation area. The accommodation was open to view, so that our couples could start working out who the lucky 15 people to stay on site would be. And last but no means least, meet our guests got to meet the Eleven Eighty team The owners, Richard and Clare Mills and Venue Manager Reanah Ford.
Many of our “Friends of the Venue” were keen to play a part, in what was a wonderful day:
Our stunning wood, long reception tables were brought to life by The Wedding and Event Creators, Brilliant Blooms and White Cherry Invitations. In addition to our in-house courtyard games, A Game of Love Events were showcasing their offerings. To document the day, we were joined by KLD Photography. There was also be the opportunity to chat with Love Thrills celebrant and One Artistry Make up.
Some people popped in for a quick visit and some stayed for a quite a while to soak up the atmosphere:
