The Township of Berry is located 2 hours south of Sydney. With the recent creation of new highways, it’s a fast, easy and picturesque drive. Berry is also 3 hours from Canberra.
Where is Eleven Eighty situated?
A lot of people are a tad confused when I tell them that Eleven Eighty is based in Coolangatta (a ten minute drive from the township of Berry). Yes, there is another Coolangatta in Australia aside from the famous Gold Coast location. Fun fact for you: Our Coolangatta is the original Coolangatta!!! Coolangatta in Qld was in fact named after the schooner, Coolangatta which in turn was named after the mountain between Shoalhaven Heads and Berry (a 2 minute drive from Eleven Eighty) which was wrecked on the coast in 1864.
About the Area
The Shoalhaven has it all (in our opinion). Your retail therapy needs are covered in the township of Berry known for its amazing coffee shops, restaurants, home wares, bakeries, and watering holes. A 3-minute drive from Eleven Eighty is the seaside town of Shoalhaven Heads offering pet friendly beach walks and even a fine dining option. A ten-minute drive gets you to Gerroa – the start of the famous Seven Mile Beach and 5 minutes further along is Gerringong offering Werri beach – a hot spot for surfing and swimming, Werri lagoon for kayaking and fishing and Boat Harbour Rock pool, a favourite swimming spot with the locals. The area offers it all: Beautiful walks, fun on the water, country towns to explore. For the more adventurous there are plenty of thrill seeking activities such as zip lining and rock climbing.
