Ineshka and Michael stumbled across Eleven Eighty at the South Coast Wedding Trail and thought the “Venue with a Twist” was simply “stunning”. For them it had the right mix of character, styling and gardens. They also loved how the day flowed through the different spaces, each offering something new.
They could not have asked for a better day. The weather was picture perfect, the sun was shining and the willow trees, which they used as a backdrop (no arbour needed) to their nuptials, were in full spring glory. Their garden ceremony was officiated by Tanya Emes and was followed by a relaxed hour of lawn games drinks and photos. Ineshka and Michael invited 60 guests to celebrate with them. From the garden, they moved through to the courtyard for drinks served from the Eleven Eighty bar by The Frisky Filly and canapes from The Monkey Express Food Truck.

Ineshka and Michael went for rustic/forest vibes…. a green and brown colour palette with gold pink and lavender touches. They wanted to keep everything quite simple and felt that the venue already had the great amounts of styling in place. How would we describe this couple? “Effortlessly stylish with just the right amount of cheek – this couple couldn’t have been more perfectly matched with Eleven Eighty. A love of the unexpected, a flair for doing things their own way… right up our alley.”

What we love about DIY weddings done the Eleven Eighty way? They’re DIY without the drama. We take the overwhelm out of the equation — just ask to see our prop list and you’ll be amazed by what’s included in your package. That means our couples can focus on the fun stuff — choosing the food, adding those unique finishing touches, and dreaming up the details that make the day truly their own. For this gorgeous couple, that meant celebrating the moment Ineshka became Mrs Duck — and yes, they absolutely leaned into the theme. From playful styling choices to perfectly placed nods to their new surname, it was full of charm and cheek. And of course, we couldn’t resist sneaking our own concrete duck into the mix — because at Eleven Eighty, it’s always the little things that bring the magic.

Did we mention that these guys were fun? Following on with the duck theme, we loved their attempt to re-enact the flying v formation in the movie the Mighty Ducks!!

Any advice for future couples?, we asked Ineshka and Michael. “We had not seen the wedding venue since booking and in hindsight we should have used our complimentary planning visit. We thought we had lots of time up our sleeve, but the day just sort of snuck up on us”. We were saved, however, because Clare, the owner, was super quick at answering our questions and Dean, the Site Manager was so helpful on the day.”
Ineshka and Michael were just delighted with how the day ran and so happy that their guests “had such a great night” We just loved hosting their special day.
